The Lion Inn enjoys a quiet and secluded location in the picturesque village of Gwytherin. It is housed in centuries-old country house, still keeping its traditional values and original charm, while providing all modern comforts needed for a restful and pleasant holiday or short break. Gwytherin is situated near the more famous village of Betws-y-Coed, a gateway to Snowdonia National Park and an ideal base for discovering North Wales. The entirely non-smoking inn has a cosy restaurant, comfortable but still maintaining its period features. Freshly cooked meals, using the best local produce, are served in the restaurant each evening. The rich menu is complemented by an imaginative list of good wines, carefully selected by the Master of Wines - Julia Harding. The device of Lion Inn Restaurant is “We don not cook fast food, we prepare great food as fast as we can”. The traditional hotel bar is the ideal place to relax with a glass of the fines Welsh malt whisky in a friendly and informal ambience. All 6 rooms are en-suite, equipped with original rustic furniture, traditional woollen throws, tea and coffee making facilities, DVD player and telephone. Unfortunately there is no TV signal in the inn. Two guest rooms have bathrooms with bath and shower, the others have just showers. One room is equipped with a double bed and additional bed, suitable to host families. Baby cots
can be supplied upon request too.
